Incentives offered by local utility and provincial/state/federal government programs can have a significant impact on your energy cost reduction program. Many of our clients use the incentive dollars to expand the program to more locations while keeping the same net capex outlay. Sometimes the incentives have made a difference in making the decision to pursue deeper retrofits.
Since incentive programs are typically time sensitive and are frequently subject to the availability of funding, they are not always a reliable deliverable. A number of utilities are offering these programs on a first-come first-serve basis which makes them even more challenging to suit various implementation timelines.
As an acting member of your team, we review your energy retrofit projects and prepare the incentive application paperwork to secure the maximum incentive amount. Our team also performs the Measurement and Verification (M&V) to validate the energy savings and prepares detailed reports on energy savings, provides all the calculations and co-ordinates with the utilities/government bodies and third-party evaluators during the process to ensure that all the required information is received in a timely fashion such that incentives can be awarded as soon as possible.
His attention to detail and analysis of the energy consumption data, both before and after implementation, was exceptional.
